about us
Jim Summers - Captain
I am originally from a small town called Fort Ashby West Virginia.  I joined the Navy in September 1984.  After spending over 15 years of a 20 year career overseas in places such as Diego Garcia, United Kingdom, Guam, The Balkans and numerous other places, I decided to retire from active duty in June 2004 as a Chief Petty Officer.

I am now doing what I love, thats fishing, and helping other people enjoy themselves in the great outdoors.  I have been local to the Pensacola area since 2000.  I have been fishing the local (inshore and offshore) waters since I returned from overseas.  The Northern Gulf of Mexico has a tremendous fishery that is waiting to be discovered by people such as yourself.

I am also a licensed Real Estate broker, we all have to do other things besides fish.  I enjoy Real Estate because it gives me the freedom to fish while helping people with a staple living requirement such as finding and selling a home.

I look forward to meeting you and helping you enjoy the brute power of the apex predator in the sea.

Mark Summers - First Mate
I as well grew in in West Virginia fishing freshwater.  When I was in the Navy, I got "hooked" on saltwater fishing while fishing around the world.  I have learned numerous techniques to catch sharks and other saltwater fish.

I was in the Navy for 10 years and have since operated my own construction company.

I am sure we will be talking alot on the boat, so lets go fishing and see what we can find......  or better yet, lets see what "finds us"

Mark and I are brothers, and have been fishing all our lives.  Freshwater was all we had growing up in West Virginia.  Sitting along the banks of either Paterson Creek, or the South Branch of the Potomac river system catching everything from Catfish to Bass.  I remember our Father used to take us on canoe trips down these rivers when we were in boy scouts.  We used to laugh and joke about one day catching a shark as long as the canoe.  Well here we are today, taking people fishing in the Gulf of Mexico and helping to make memories that they will remember for the rest of their lives.

I have been asked numerous time about how the name of "FAT JAX" has come to be.  Here is a picture of "FAT JAX" himself lounging by the pool with his little brother Win Win......   (He is the BIG one)......
